07/29/12 Barn Find! 1970 Opel GT

This is the one and it was waiting for us only a few miles away from our house on a large private estate. I'm 13 and this is the start of the first car restoration I have ever done and it's an 1970 Opel GT the same car that Maxwell Smart drove...except a year newer and different color (actualy Chartrusse under all that orange). me and dad have pulled out the radiator, brake booster, some wires and cords,spark plugs,water pump,carborator,air intake, alternator and a few other things. we have now scrubed and washed the engine bay for paint. we are going to paint it black. We have already painted the engine block black and the brake booster and master cylinder silver. then when ready, we will replace the radiator,collant tank, brake booster,alternator and some other things with better aftermarket parts. will upload more photos soon.* (not all parts photographed)
